We are so proud of our #mightytitan, Viginia Nganga, who competed in Miss Black Teen Tulsa this last Saturday! Viginia is attending McLain as an exchange student from Kenya, and because she is returning home at the end of this school year, she participated in the competition, but was not vying for the crown. That said, with her scores she would have been the 1st Runner Up! Viginia shared a beautiful spoken-word poem about her home in Africa, and she presented herself with poise and dignity. Way to represent #4929! Viginia shared, “I made new friendships during the pageant, and I was able to see many new perspectives. The pageant taught me that there is much more to life than winning, and that there is more to life than what we see on the surface.
