The creative team behind #TheOC doesn't necessarily stand behind their decision of killing off #MischaBarton's character, #MarissaCooper— which remains one of the most shocking TV deaths of all time. ⁠ ⁠ Creator Josh Schwartz and producer Stephanie Savage admitted to vanityfair that it was a mistake to write her out the way they did. Schwartz said, "It's something that we regret, and looking back on it, we wish we could have come up with a different solution.
