Since the pandemic has started, I have been struggling with my anxiety. Some days are good and some are far worse.
I want to share with you what my Clinical Supervisor shared with me. I have been educating my clients about this as well:
(1.)Understanding our anxiety or emotional stressors increase when we have no control over our surroundings (at this time we get into the “overthinking cycle of anxiety” and we are “not emotionally regulated”).
During this time, it is important to follow step

(2.)When not feeling emotionally regulated, the first thing you should do is engage in an activity to help you stay regulated (square breathing, 💪🏽 , meditation, 🧘🏽♀️ , going for a walk ☀️, mindfulness etc.).
