Happy International Women's Day from Kansas City Fashion Week! Today, we celebrate the incredible achievements of women around the world, including our very own Owner and CEO, Teisha Barber, kcfwceo ! Teisha's journey began in June 2011 when she brought to life the vision of Models on a Mission: Benefit Fashion Show for Joplin, MO, raising over $5,000 for tornado victims. This event ignited her passion for the fashion industry and laid the foundation for what would become Kansas City Fashion Week. Armed with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies and a background in interior design, Teisha's expertise and determination were instrumental in making KCFW a reality. From Executive Director to President, she fearlessly led the charge, overseeing every aspect of production and design to ensure KCFW's success.
