Look at the league leaders in save percentage and you’ll see Sergei Bobrovski (.917) solidly in the middle of the pack among goaltenders with at least 10 games played, tied with John Gibson, whom most would say is having a nice season. • The less said about rookie Spencer Knight (.896), the better — especially for those who thought he might have a shot at the Calder this season *wink wink* — but that’s why they acquired Jonas Johansson (career… .892? oof). • What those full-season stats don’t tell you, and what a molten start obscure, is that Bobrovsky has been Knight-level bad since mid-November. And also that it hasn’t mattered very much. • The splits on this are ugly: In Bobrovsky’s first 12 games of the season, he allowed just 22 goals on 366 shots (.940), worth plus-12.6 goals saved above expected. That was the second-best number in the league through Nov. 25, behind only Jack Campbell, and Campbell played five extra games to get 0.19 GSAx better. • But there might have been some...
