Celebrating #BBC100 with @TheRepairShopTV! 🔨 In a special episode tonight, find out what happened when The King (when he was Prince of Wales) invited the team to @DumfriesHouse back in Autumn 2021 to discuss their shared passion for preserving heritage craft skills. 🪚 The Prince gave @JayBladesMBE a tour of the house and together they met some of the students on @ThePrincesFoundation Building Craft Programme – a training initiative that teaches traditional skills such as blacksmithing, stonemasonry and wood carving. During their visit, The Repair Shop pledged to restore two historic pieces handpicked by His Majesty, an 18th century clock from Dumfries House, and a piece of Wemyss Ware made for Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee.
