๐Ÿฅ„ Today is Stir-up Sunday: traditionally the day when home cooks โ€˜stir upโ€™ their Christmas pudding mixture on the Sunday before the Advent season - and the countdown to Christmas - begins. This year, chefs in the Royal kitchens have shared their recipe for a traditional Christmas pudding. We hope that some of you enjoy making it in your own homes.ย  The recipe will make two 1kg puddings. Ingredients as follows: ๐Ÿ‡ 250g raisins ๐Ÿ‡ 250g currants ๐Ÿ‡ 185g sultanas ๐ŸŠ 150g mixed peel ๐Ÿงˆ 250g suet or vegetarian suet ๐Ÿž 250g breadcrumbs ๐ŸŒพ 90g flour ๐ŸŽ„12g mixed spice ๐Ÿฅš 2 whole eggs ๐Ÿฌ180g demerara sugarย  ๐Ÿบ 275ml beer ๐Ÿน 40ml dark rum ๐Ÿฅƒ 40ml brandy ๐Ÿซ– If you donโ€™t want to use alcohol, you can substitute for orange juice or cold tea. On Christmas Day, reheat your pudding in a bain-marie for 3-4 hours. Remove from the basin using a rounded knife or palette knife, flip out onto a plate, garnish or flambeฬ and serve with brandy sauce and cream. . . . . . #StirupSunday #StirupSunday2020 #...
