'Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.’ . The Prince of Wales reads from John 15: 12-17 during a service to mark the centenary of the burial of the Unknown Warrior at Westminster Abbey earlier today. . The ‘warrior' - an unknown British serviceman - was brought from France in 1920. His final resting place has become a symbol of commemoration for all those who have lost their lives in service of their country, and in particular for those whose bodies were never recovered and given a proper burial. . During the service, His Royal Highness laid a wreath of red roses and bay leaf, a replica of that laid by his great grandfather King George V in 1920. .
