Sometimes when we do worse, we are getting better....
Long Island Half Marathon Training:
Today was squats, deadlifts and interval 1/4 mile runs.....
Squats and deadlifts went smoothly, felt good. I kept weight light with a lot of reps to get high volume since I'm only Training legs once a week....
Interval 1/4 mile runs were supposed to be at a 6:40 pace which was 9 seconds faster than last time, but I immediately felt tightness in my hamstring....
I knew that if I pushed it I would hurt it causing me to miss many days of training, so I decrease my speed to a 7:30 pace and finished the 8 rounds....
Even though my pace was worse than last time, I was able to push through and complete the workout. I did get better today, I did get mentally stronger today, I did TRUST MY INSTINCTS & KEPT GOING 👊🦁
