In the 70s and 80s, The Princess Royal continued to support The Queen as a working Member of the Royal Family, alongside competing with the British Eventing Team, riding at the Montreal Olympics in 1976 🏇 The Princess Royal became associated with some of her first patronages, including savechildrenuk and rdauk, as well as accepting her first military appointments, and undertaking Royal Tours and engagements. The Princess married Captain Mark Phillips in 1973, followed by the arrival of their son Peter in 1977, and their daughter Zara in 1981.
