Her Majesty The Queen held an #Investiture today at #BuckinghamPalace - congratulations to everyone who received their Honours. British diver John Volanthen received The George Medal for his bravery in the Thai cave rescue last summer. Six other cave divers were named in the New Year Honours and will attend their investitures throughout this year. The George Medal was created in September 1940 during the reign of King George VI – it is awarded to civilians for acts of bravery. 📸 PA
