The Duchess of Cambridge has visited the Costume Department at the RoyalOperaHouse today to learn more about their use of textiles, as well as the commissioning of fabrics, design and craftsmanship involved. The Queen is Patron of the Royal Ballet and in this second picture Her Majesty met artists at The Royal Opera House in 1968 The RoyalOperaHouse Costume Team create and conserve thousands of opera and ballet costumes each season and work with designers to create original pieces for new productions. Today Her Royal Highness also met some of The Royal Ballet dancers, londonballerina, Laura Morera and vadimmuntagirovofficial, who explained how stage lighting and movement will influence the design of their costumes. #RoyalOperaHouse
