Florence, 1927. Brothers Giuseppe and Bruno Bambi craft the very first La Marzocco espresso machine in their small workshop in Florence. Skilled sheet metal beaters—an art they learned from their grandfather—the brothers began to apply their technique to espresso machines.
Now, over 90 years later, La Marzocco’s “Officine Fratelli Bambi” is bringing back this artisanal form of espresso machine creation. Documented as a beautiful short film, “Re-Imparare” follows a small team of artisans as they learn and ressurect these techniques and bring to life machine ideas and dreams that have been held in boxes for decades.
“Re-imparare” premieres June 21st on the La Marzocco Youtube channel.
