This is what my training looked like all of February. It might seem like a lot, but training is my full time job. I’m not a student, I don’t have kids, or a “real job” so all my time and energy is focused on preparing for races.
I wanted to share something I find ironic and see if it resonates with y’all.
While I was stringing together week after week of training just like this, I kept feeling like it wasn’t enough and I needed to be doing more.
I recently started feeling too much pain in my left hip to run and have been forced to take some time off (again). Now I watch this montage and just wish I could be training this much right now. It was enough. I want it back.
You see the irony right?
Now I am challenging myself to focus on what I DO have even during a period when I want more.
I’m not gonna run today. But I’m gonna do yoga, some breathwork, walk Pie, make a delicious smoothie bowl, probably go for an Elliptigo ride, and do a bunch of PT exercises that make me feel strong and ca...
