TOP 20 WFT PLAYERS FROM 2020: Coming in at #18: Alex Smith, Quarterback! Our individual rankings for number 18: Justin: Alex Smith Jess: Cole Holcomb @wshnations: Ryan Kerrigan 2020 Stats: 6 Games Started 66.7 Completion% 1,582 Yards and 6TDs Passing Alex Smith’s numbers from 2020 might not impress, but stats never tell the whole truth. As a starter, Smith led the team to a 5-1 record (and the one loss was to the Lions by 3 points). Smith managed the game and ran the offense enough to win games—which is the most important stat. What Smith came back from the past two seasons is incredible, but we did not rank him for that reason. Smith played at a consistent level, made some big plays in big games when needed and I think ultimately boosted the teams confidence to win games. Where would you have ranked Smith? Who do you think will be revealed at #17? #WashingtonFootballTeam #WFT
