Covino, National Council of La Raza President Janet Murguia, and Dr. Rita Redberg, professor of medicine and director of Women’s Cardiovascular Services at UC San Francisco. Heart disease claims the lives of nearly 400,000 women annually in the U.S. When you know your risk, you can take preventive measures. The screenings are free and take just a few minutes to complete. Students will need to complete a general release to participate in the screening and must present a driver’s license or state identification to participate.
