Selfridges have opened a concession in their luxurious department store for the UK’s first Interfaith charity shop. The pop-up charity shop is the first of its kind and was created by writer, artist and film maker Miranda July and Artangel. It is being run jointly across 4 religious charities: Islamic Relief, Jewish charity Norwood, London Buddhist Centre and Spitalfields Crypt Trust with the proceeds split equally between them. The installation is based on the Islamic relief store in Walthamstow and it even has a £1 corner. You can visit the store until October 22nd at Selfridges, London.
