Emily grew up in Iowa and earned her bachelor's degree at Simpson College in Indianola, IA. For three years after graduation Emily served as the head athletic trainer for Waldorf University in Iowa. In 2005, Emily left the great state of Iowa to pursue and masters degree at West Virginia University. After earning her masters degree, Emily continued her journey east and landed here at Brown. Emily is especially passionate about her family - humans, animals and athletes alike.
