I was proud to bring a bill forward (again) that would Reduce Power Bills and Improve Indoor Air Quality for Working Families. I am proposing a Weatherization Program to provide grants of up to $10,000 to assist in reducing energy costs and indoor air quality. Eligible expenses would include: (a) improving insulation; (b) air-sealing; (c) weatherization; (d) mould removal; (e) carbon monoxide detectors; (f) attic dampers; (g) radon systems; (h) the purchase and installation of heat pumps; (i) the purchase and installation of heat-pump water heaters; (j) the purchase and installation of zero-carbon-ready high-efficiency home heating system. Families are struggling to keep up with the recent power bill increases and pay for costs to improve air quality in their homes. The government should pass this bill to help. #nspoli
