🎥 Surprise! we can't end our Black History Month posts without one last great acknowledgement to Floyd Norman! 🎥 Floyd Norman is known as the first African American Animator at Walt Disney Studios since the 1950's. His work also spans out as a writer and comic book artist, although he prefers to be called a “cartoonist". He worked on Disney classics such as Sleeping Beauty, The Sword in the Stone, The Jungle Book, and Mulan. He eventually returned to Disney during his career to also help with the debut of 101 Dalmations. He was later inducted as a Disney Legend in 2007 and still continues to work at the age of 88. Today Floyd Norman continues to do what he does best with the same passion as his 20s, proof that age is just a number. 🐾 Animation by Michael! #UMBC #UMBCcommonvision
