📇To end our Black History Month posts we have a design by Jordan! 📇 Joshua Darden is a typeface designer, entrepreneur, and founder of acclaimed typeface studio Darden Studio. Darden published his first typeface at the age of 15 as one of the first known black typeface designers. He would go on to work at The Hoefler Type Foundry before founding Darden Studio in 2005. His most popular typefaces—Jubilat, Freight, and Omnes—have been used worldwide by brands such as Fanta, Huggies, AT&T, and Crayola. His work is highly acclaimed and has won a TDC award, which is the most prestigious global typography competition. #UMBC #UMBCcommonvision
