After years about hearing about Houston I was able to see the places that I imagined and none of it looked how I thought it would. I was comically off-kilter. But when you have never seen a place, all you can do is remix memories of other places and what you've seen on tv and movies. * They say that all the people we see in our dreams are just a mash of other people. My dreams have become really important to me lately. A lot of them have to do with New York and it wasn't until recently that I realized how pivotal that move to nyc shaped my current life. It's actually overwhelming.
