Pre-covid, one of the things I most loved was getting to travel and speak at different conferences. (Honestly, as a parent, they were each like little vacations.) Speaking at conferences in a pandemic has been such a different ballgame. This is a picture from a talk I recorded for an upcoming conference. What you don’t see here is the wacko coordination that goes on behind the scenes. The strategic planning so you can make sure both kids will be out of the house. The books strategically stacked so the lighting will look “natural” even though it’s German winter and *so gray.* Or the challenge that comes from speaking into a void. It’s so weird! So here’s to those of you getting stuff done in the middle of your living room, in the middle of your dining room, on the floor of your kid’s room. Here’s to the chaos.
