Happy Birthday sweet Theodore!
I’ve never really shared about Theodore’s birth. Finnley came very fast. We barely made it into the birth center before I gave birth to him on the floor! Hoff came quickly, even though my body was far from ready. So we assumed Theodore would come quick as lightening.
But Theodore was another story. Three weeks before my due date, he flipped into the breech position. We had a successful version before he flipped back to breech a mere week before my due date. The day before I would have to go in for a possible c-section, he flipped back to heads down.
I labored with him for 30 hours. At one point, my doula took my hand and said “He can feel it — your heartbreak. He’s trying to hold you.”
I let go and, almost a year after birthing and saying goodbye to Hoff, I received the gift of saying hello to this precious child.
