The public health impacts of humanitarian crises are devastating, both during crises and well after they end. Prof. Kaveh Khoshnood, PhD ‘95, and Chidum Okeke, MPH ’23, lay out the many harms.
This clip is part of the newly released short documentary, “African Wave” - Voices Amidst Conflict Caught in the Crossfire of the Russian-Ukrainian War, created by Okeke, Mukund Desibhatla, MPH ’23, and Dr. Kelvin Amenyedor, MD, MPH ’23, for their Humanities, Arts, and Public Health class at the Yale School of Public Health. It will be shown at the 2023 American Public Health Association’s Film Festival in the short films program on November 9.
