It’s been a couple weeks since commencement, but we’re still celebrating our amazing graduates, their accomplishments and their futures🎓 👏 One of Michelle Sodipo’s long-term career goals is to improve health outcomes for women of color who are diagnosed with cancer. “I really want to work toward figuring out how to minimize and remove health disparities for women of color who have to face cancer, because most of them are at a higher risk for dying if they’re diagnosed," said Sodipo, who graduated with an M.P.H. degree in chronic disease epidemiology. During her time at YSPH, Sodipo also served as co-chair of the Emerging Majority Students Association, mentored new students as a department student representative, and led a course in foundations of epidemiology for first-year M.P.H. students as a student teaching fellow.
