Hi all, my name is Kayoko Shioda and I’m excited to be your next Instagram host! I am a rising third year PhD student from Japan. Before coming to Yale, I completed a veterinary medicine program at the University of Tokyo in 2012 and received MPH from Emory University in 2014. I had worked in the Division of Viral Diseases at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta as an epidemiology fellow for two years. I got interested in public health and global health when I lived in South Africa in my childhood. My current research focuses on the evaluation of the impact of pneumococcal conjugate vaccines (PCVs) in Latin American countries.
