Hi everyone! I’m Nick Johnson and I’ll be your #ysphtakeover host this week! I am a rising second year MPH student in the Environmental Health Sciences Department at #YSPH. I am originally from Washington State, but I received my bachelors in Medical Anthropology from Creighton University. It was during these studies that I became aware of just how strongly the various environments around us affect our health - be they social, physical, or otherwise. The fact that your zip code is often a better predictor of your health than almost any other single metric, coupled with the fact that an increasing amount of the world’s population is concentrated in urban environments has made me passionate about improving lived experiences within the built environment.
