Malaysia is currently facing a unique and largely hidden refugee crisis. There are over 158,639 registered refugees waiting for resettlement and countless more undocumented asylum-seekers. This transitional period can last up to decades, and generations must survive without legal status or viable economic,
#health, and education opportunities. This summer, I am working to carry out a study to better understand the health needs and healthcare utilization of urban refugees and asylum-seekers in KL.
