This summer, I’m thrilled to be working right here in New Haven, in the lab of Dr. Ellen Foxman. My project focuses on identifying unusual, rare, or even (cross your fingers!) new respiratory viruses that are circulating in our population. We are using a host protein bio marker discovered by the Foxman lab that is able to rule in or out an active viral infection, just by looking at a patients nasopharyngeal cells!
