Hi everyone!! My name is Hailey Jordan and I will be your co-host of this week’s YSPH Takeover. I am a rising second year in Social and Behavioral Sciences. I was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri - home of the Royals and the best BBQ in the country. I attended Stanford University #NerdNation where I received my B.A. in Human Biology, with a concentration in Bioethical and Social Issues of Underserved Populations. My public health interests center on the impact of mental health stigma in underrepresented communities of color. I am also interested in the role of psychological and educational resilience of adolescents from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. These passions stem from my own experience of being a first-generation, low-income student of color and learning about mental health challenges in my family.
