Congratulations to Miriam Nemeth L’09 who was recently promoted to Litigation Director at Advancement Project, a racial-justice non-profit in Washington, DC! Before joining Advancement Project, Miriam was an Associate in the Civil Rights and Employment Group at Cohen Milstein Sellers & Toll PLLC, where she worked on complex class actions. She also developed cases attacking practices at private Immigration and Customs Enforcement facilities. Miriam previously practiced at a civil rights litigation boutique in Detroit, Michigan, where she litigated civil lawsuits involving police misconduct, government abuse of power, and prisoners’ rights. Miriam has also served as a law clerk for the Honorable Ronald Lee Gilman on the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Honorable David M. Lawson on the Eastern District of Michigan.
