On Sunday, May 16, the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School recognized Class of 2021 graduates with a virtual celebration, which followed several, small in-person celebrations on campus earlier in the week.

This year, 256 students received the JD degree, 43 students received the LLM degree with another 40 expected to graduate in December, 1 student received an SJD, and 21 students received a Master in Law (ML) degree, while three others graduated with an ML in December 2020 and another three in August 2020. The 2021 virtual commencement ceremony featured two distinguished speakers: Hon. Ketanji Brown Jackson and Abby Huntsman.

βAt a time when the intersection between the rule of law and an informed public has never been more important,β said Dean and Bernard T. Segal Professor of Law Ted Ruger before the ceremony, βI am thrilled these two esteemed speakers will be able to bring their unique perspectives to our graduating class.β
