Imagine a world where
#USSoccer orders a replay because a referee makes a bad offside call ....
Today in
#USOpenCup history (March 12, 1933): 8,000 fans at Sportsman's Park in
#StLouis were on hand to watch two hometown clubs square off with Stix, Baer & Fuller defeating Anderson SC 4-1. Future Saint Louis Soccer Hall of Fame inductee Frank Lodderhouse and two future National SoccerHOF inductees, Billy Gonsalves and Alec McNab (2 goals) all scored to lead Stix to the Semifinals for the second year in a row.
Andersons won the original match two weeks earlier on the same field but in a RARE decision, the USFA ordered a replay because they ruled the referee incorrectly called a late Stix equalizer offside
