Yesterday, The Princess Royal held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace – honouring people from all walks of life. Those invested yesterday included Dame Beryl Grey, the world-renowned ballerina, Comedian dwalliams, who was honoured for services to Charity and The Arts, and the Olympic rower Major Heather Stanning #OBE. 90 year old Ishbel Sewell also collected her #MBE from HRH yesterday – 24 years after her daughter received the same award. While her daughter was honoured for her Humanitarian work in Bosnia, Isbel was honoured for being a key part of the Aldbourne community. Since 1959, she has been a member of WomensInstitute, co-founded the local Girlguiding branch & set up a lunch club for single pensioners.
