The Queen, as Colonel in Chief, Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders & The Duke of Edinburgh then visited Stirling Castle. Her Majesty received a lovely posy before a Royal Salute by Balaklava Company 5 SCOTS. In 1947 HM, then Princess Elizabeth, became Colonel in Chief of the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders. The Queen & The Duke attended a Thanksgiving Service to celebrate the 70th year of this appointment, before meeting staff involved in the redevelopment of Stirling Castle's museum. #holyroodweek #royalweek
