Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti says at least 600,000 people marched through downtown for the second annual Women’s March in Los Angeles on January 20, 2018. Signs supporting women were abundant. Many of them were posters about breaking glass ceilings or running for office. This year’s march took place exactly one year after President Trump’s inauguration. Many showed up this year calling to impeach the president, while only a few others turned out in his support. If you were wondering how this year’s crowd compared to last year’s, Mayor Garcetti says at least 750,000 people marched in LA in 2017, about 150,000 more than this year. Photos by helenarase.
