Two hours before kickoff the club found out that the team’s flight home from San Antonio had been cancelled due to weather. While this presented the challenge of getting 21 people back to Tulsa, there was a more important problem to solve – getting bandeirarod to his wedding in Miami, Florida with no flights available out of San Antonio and only hours to spare. The Tulsa Roughnecks FC would like to make a shutout to Head Athletic Trainer, Jonathon Milwee (millweej ) . Immediately following the final whistle, he drove bandeirarod 4+ hours through the night to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport to ensure that Da Costa made it onto the only flight to Miami.
