Night two of the George Floyd Protests. Protestors moved from 72nd and Dodge to downtown. Many of the protestors rode in there vehicle's honking shouting "No Justice No Peace." Other protestors marched around throwing up their homage signs each displaying how they felt about the death of George Floyd and racial injustice. Things did take a turn for a worse when a man shot another protestor in the neck. I, along with many of the other protestors near the shots fired, fled for safety. Later throughout the night, some people would throw objects through windows. The OPD made several arrests, the official number has yet to be published. I just want to remind those who do protest or plan to, remain peacefully protesting because violence and throwing objects will only provoke the police more.
