Today is
#WorldSickleCellDay and we want to use it the share why it is so important to have a diverse donor registry. 1 in 500 African Americans are born with sickle cell anemia. Sickle cell anemia is a painful genetic blood disorder that is currently only curable through a bone marrow transplant. Unfortunately, many sickle cell disease patients can not find a matching donor because African Americans only make up 7% of the donor registry. Help us raise awareness by tagging a friend who should join the donor registry from home today⤵️💚
