Today the U.S. Air Force Academy Class of 2020 graduated, making them the 62nd graduating class, and the first class in Academy history to graduate early. Over the last four years, the cadets have excelled in the classroom, received world-class military and leadership training, and have been pushed on the athletic fields. The additive nature of this training has made them leaders of character capable of thinking critically and developing innovative solutions to our most daunting challenges. Although the graduation ceremony is not exactly what the cadets expected, I want to express how immensely proud the State of Colorado is of every graduate! We are impressed by all you have accomplished training at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, and we cannot wait to see what you will do for our country and world throughout the rest of your career.
