Olivia was a healthy and active teenager right up until she was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia following her 13th birthday. The treatment plan for Olivia's type of leukemia consisted of 5 rounds of chemotherapy – each one requiring a hospital stay of 30-40 days. During her 4th round of chemotherapy, Olivia got sick from an infection. She fought bravely for 12 days but passed away on June 1, 2018.
