Every year, we work with our community partner, Covenant Presbyterian Church, to send us interns interested in giving second chances. This year, the church sent us Grace. She is a rising sophomore majoring in Health Sciences at James Madison University. Grace worked at the Center for Women, in both the office area and dorm area, organizing paperwork and helping check residents in and out.  Grace says: “My favorite part was getting to meet some of the residents and learn of their stories. While I’m interested in a career in healthcare, I’m also passionate about justice reform so I’m thankful to have had the opportunity to learn more about the justice system. My time at #CCT has inspired me to continue to learn more and explore the ways criminal justice overlaps with other fields, like public health and medicine.”  Thank you Covenant Presbyterian Church.
