“Right before the Coronavirus hit, I dropped my phone and smashed the front screen. The crack goes right through the front facing camera. I’m not sure when I will be able to have it repaired. The Coronavirus and Stay at Home order has changed a lot for me. I used to go to work every day, and now I just hang out at home. I don’t know when the last time I did anything with my hair other than pile it on top of my head. The first few weeks were kind of a blur, I did a lot of reading, I started my classes, I figured out how to get unemployment benefits... now I’m just sort of on autopilot. I still wake up early because whenever I do go back to work, I don’t want to have to readjust to the schedule. I spend a lot of time in my yard and I feel fortunate to have one. Recently I discovered that I could hold one of my chickens in a way which makes her fall asleep in my arms. That’s what I’ve been working on most recently.” . 📷: Jessica Prough for #jour276 #photojournalism #depaulvisualjournal ....
