Someone I was recently talking to said that this style of videos was almost like I was sharing entries to a personal diary, and today’s video is very much that. I knew what the shoot was on to me on Tuesday. Had written the outline at the game, and finished the script on the walk home. Edited it first thing Wednesday morning before I’d started editing anything…and then the edit actually turned out really well 😅 The sentiment is true, but with the speed of social and my posting schedule, this video is coming out at a slightly weird time. Spoilers, the video got made, is live on the bathcityfc accounts, and I think it’s actually something pretty cool! Vertical shooting for vertical content might seem like a no brainer, but I’ve spent over 30 years with media being shown and captured landscape. Some of the styles, moves and ways I was looking to capture shots from this video I’ll be carrying over…and shooting on a sony 85mm prime for sports? Yeah. More of that coming in the future....
