Today's Feature Friday goes to Jessica LeDoux, an Exceptional, Deaf and Interpreter Education grad, who was selected as one of the nine Spring/Summer 2021 Osprey Community Engagement Medallion award winners! The Osprey Community Engagement Medallion is bestowed on graduating students who have exhibited high levels of community engagement during their time as an Osprey. Jessica attended UNF for four years and had the opportunity to be a part of and create community engagement throughout campus. She's participated in beach clean ups and volunteer programs in DCPS. Additionally, she saw a need to expand the awareness of Epilepsy on UNF's campus so she worked with UNF Housing and teachers to allow her Non-Profit organization, Epilepsy Fighters, to come on campus and spread awareness about what epilepsy is, how you can help, and why service dogs are so important.
