Patrick and Stephanie initially met Freshman year in Russell Hall, where they had both been assigned housing. Over the course of the second semester, they started becoming better friends and then began dating the following Fall, shortly into their Sophomore years. Their first date was a hike through the UConn forest behind Horsebarn Hill. After graduation, they both briefly lived and worked in the Shelton, CT area before relocating to Los Angeles for Patrick’s law school enrollment. In November of 2022, while on a trip to visit Stephanie’s family for Thanksgiving, they stopped by UConn and Patrick recreated their first date, proposing to Stephanie in the UConn forest. They were even able to catch a men’s basketball game right afterwards. Storrs, as it does for so many others, will always hold a special place in their hearts. Go Huskies!
