Meet dinkc • • Artist, Gallery Curator, Storefront Operator, Workshop leader, Brand Owner at dinkcstudios • • • BIO• • Growing up as a Mexican-American in Kansas City and Mexico, Laedan Galicia, aka DINKC, became exposed to a myriad of street art, his two cultures, and an appreciation for Dia de los Muertos. This led to the early combination of intricately detailed line work, bold illustrations, and skulls, which later manifested in the development of his artistic style. In 2012 Laedan built his creative studio powered by illustrative design and a deathly obsession with skulls which immediately drove his passion to new heights through the exploration of both fine and commercial art. Influenced by Mexican street market tradition of turning art into accessible commercial items, Laedan strived to merge his artwork and merchandise together to form the DINKC brand.
