Three amigos Engineers at NASAJPL recently finished assembling a trio of small rovers that will explore the Moon in sync. The trio is part of a technology demonstration called CADRE (Cooperative Autonomous Distributed Robotic Exploration), which tests the solar power carry-on sized robots’ capabilities of working in tandem in the harsh lunar environment, where they will conduct experiments, exploring, mapping, and using ground-penetrating radar to peer below the lunar surface. Set to launch later this year, the three rovers are a crucial step toward helping humanity establish a long-term presence on the Moon with #Artemis.
