This May, WPI Athletics is celebrating Asian Pacific American Heritage Month by asking each of our coaches to pick a legendary or favorite Asian American in their sport. Next up is Erik Spoelstra, the head coach of the Miami Heat. Spoelstra, whose mother is a native of the Philippines, is the first Asian-American head coach in the history of the four major North American sports leagues.
